Why do we prepare so well for birth, yet give so little attention to preparing for death?

It is paradoxical, but we have found that coming to terms with the inevitability of death can be a life-affirming experience.

Living Well, Dying Well aims to shed light on how to accept, plan and prepare practically, emotionally and spiritually for the end of life. We help people think about it, talk about it and plan for it, in a safe and supported way.

We know too, that the way health professionals work matters very much to those who are dying and to the people who love them. We offer training seminars to practitioners, to build skills and support them to find ways of feeling more comfortable around death in their professional life.

We are pioneering the training of supporters, volunteers and Doulas for the Dying, which is a companionship role for people at the end of life. Doulas support the whole family practically, emotionally and spiritually, to be together in a meaningful way, in the valuable days that remain.
